HNRS 2010 - Communication and Critical Thinking

Designed to introduce students to the Honors Program, develop skills in critical thinking, and enhance skills in both written and oral communication. Hours may be applied to the Communication and Critical Thinking (COMM 1010, ENG 1110 or ENG 2110) requirement in the Liberal Arts curriculum. Credit for ENG 2110 is an option ONLY IF ENG 1110 credit is awarded prior to enrollment in HNRS 2010. Required of all honors scholars in their first semester. A research paper is required in this course. Enrollment is restricted to Honors Scholars. This course may not be repeated if the student has earned a “C” or higher. Repeat enrollment must be approved by the dean of the Honors College, and is subject to available seating in the class. If more than one section is offered the dean will determine which section the repeating student may enroll.

This course may not be taken as a repeat for a completed liberal arts course or to satisfy an additional liberal arts requirement.
