RDNG 4150 - Disciplinary Literacy

This course is designed to prepare teachers of English/Language Arts and content areas to imbed literacy standards into instructional practice. It will also prepare candidates to develop a deeper understanding of how to align assessments and attain student learning goals through using them to create tasks that elicit evidence of student content as well as literacy understanding. Candidates will explore, manipulate and demonstrate mastery of the Disciplinary Literacy standards as tools for creating instruction.

Credit Hours: 3

Term Offered: Fall, Spring, Summer
