BIOL 3730L - LAB: Developmental Physiology Principles and techniques in the analysis of genetic and physiological mechanisms regulating how organisms respond to their environment. Emphasis on investigating the role of genotype on an organism’s ability to tolerate environmental stress during ontogeny. Using the model organism Caenorhabditis elegans students pose hypotheses, design and perform experiments, analyze data, and communicate results to their peers. Includes discussion of primary literature. 1 hour of lecture/discussion and 3 hours laboratory per week.
Prerequisite(s): BIOL 2500 and BIOL 3500/3500L with a C or higher.
