COUN 6080 - Advanced Human Growth & Development


The study of human growth and development through the lifespan including theories of development in such areas as physical, mental, moral, personality and social maturation. Also addressed are abnormalities and variations in development due to gender, sexuality, culture and environmental factors with individuals and families. Multicultural perspectives in counseling/therapy are incorporated.

Prerequisite(s): Admission to the Master of Science in School Counseling (MS) program, Clinical Mental Health Counseling (MS/EdS) program, Marriage & Family Counseling/Therapy (MS) program or permission of the director.
