MATH 105 - Foundations of Algebra


This course is designed to provide a strong foundation in algebra. Topics include linear equations and inequalities, systems of linear equations, integer exponents, polynomial operations, linear and quadratic functions, and factoring. This course does not count as the mathematics Liberal Arts requirement, or toward a major or minor in mathematics.

Prerequisite(s): Prerequisite: MATH 099  with a C or higher; or a score of 19 or higher on the Math ACT; or 510 or higher on the Math SAT.

3 credit hours may require corequisite of MATH 099 ; 2 credit hours requires corequisite of MATH 151 .

Credit Hours: 2 or 3

Term Offered: Fall, Spring
