HNRS 102 - Honors: Media and Culture

For students who have completed their junior year of high school. Designed to introduce prospective students to academic programs in the Department of Communication at Harding University. Content varies but generally centers on cultural narratives and media production. All subjects are explored from diverse viewpoints. A multimedia project, written assignments and public presentations are required. Three hours of university credit are awarded to all who successfully complete the Media and Culture session. This credit is transferable to the college or university of the participant’s choice. The course content is designed to appeal to students of both the humanities and the sciences. Three credit hours may be applied to COMM 101, COMM 191, COMM 192, or COMM 201 . Enrollment in this course does not require admission into the Honors College, nor does successful completion assure an invitation to the Honors College program.
