MATH 105 - Foundations of Algebra


This course is designed to provide a strong foundation in algebra. Topics include linear equations and inequalities, systems of linear equations, integer exponents, polynomial operations, linear and quadratic functions, and factoring. This course does not count as the mathematics Liberal Arts requirement, or toward a major or minor in mathematics.

Prerequisite(s): Prerequisite: MATH 100  with a C or higher; or a score of 19 or higher on the Math ACT; or 450 or higher on the Math SAT; or a score of 36 to 49 on the Algebra section of the COMPASS Algebra test.

Credit Hours: 3

Term Offered: Fall, Spring
