HNRS 201 - Communication and Critical Thinking Designed to introduce students to the Honors Program, develop skills in critical thinking, and enhance skills in both written and oral communication. Hours may be applied to the Communication and Critical Thinking (COMO 101 , ENG 111 or ENG 211 ; credit for ENG 211 available only if previous credit for ENG 111 has been awarded) requirement in the liberal arts curriculum. Required of all honors scholars in their first semester. A research paper is required in this course. Enrollment is restricted to Honors Scholars.
This course may not be repeated if the student has earned a “C” or higher. Repeat enrollment must be approved by the dean of the Honors College, and is subject to available seating in the class. If more than one section is offered the dean will determine which section the repeating student may enroll.
