CHEM 440 - Seminar Use of the chemical literature, introduction to chemical drawing software, preparation of a research proposal, scientific writing, laboratory safety and chemical hygiene. Invited speakers and senior students also give oral presentations on topics of chemical and biochemical interest or research. Four semesters of enrollment are required with CHEM 140 counting as one semester. (A fourth semester of enrollment is required if a student did not enroll in CHEM 140 .) Credit is earned only in the graduating semester of the senior year. Students who have completed 45 hours are eligible for enrollment.
