SPED 665 - Seminar in Middle Level Special Education Internship (Grades 4-12) This course is taken during the candidate’s internship. This course will focus on an in depth study of the knowledge and skills of the ten CEC standards for professional practice found in “What Every Special Educator Must Know” by the Council for Exceptional Children. The candidate will be guided in developing a plan for his/her continuing professional growth. Written summaries and evaluations of field experiences are prepared independently by the student, a Pathwise trained representative of the cooperating educational agency, and the instructor. Internship includes both University and on-site supervision. University supervision is conducted in both seminar and individual formats.
Prerequisite(s): Prerequisite: Consent of director of special education and chair of graduate studies.
