EDFD 644 - Pre-Candidacy towards National Board For Professional Teaching Standards

Application and certification process in preparation for National Board Certification, including the state application process and preparation towards the National Board portfolio and assessment processes. Emphasis placed on the NBPTS five core propositions, the mission of NBPTS and attributes of exemplary teachers. May be taken twice. (Note: EDFD 644 begins in the summer term for 0 credit hours and rolls over to 3 credit hours in the fall term. The course is usually completed in September.)

Prerequisite(s): Prerequisite: Attending a NBPTS orientation meeting. Corequisite: Arkansas Department of Education application process.
