BDOC 5520 - Faith and Reason


A study of the nature of knowledge (epistemology) and rationality of religious belief in light of recent cultural shifts (the demise of classic modernism and the rise of postmodernism) and contemporary proposals in philosophy of religion. Topics to be considered include the nature of religious language, coherence of the concept of God, problem of evil, religious experience, and theological significance of recent developments in epistemology.
