BHIS 348 - Archaeology and Geography of Israel


A course emphasizing the historical, cultural, geographical, and religious contexts of events in the Old and New Testaments and in the intertestamental period. It consists of lectures, readings, and on-site travel to excavation sites, museums, and geographical features of Israel. Co-requisite: BHIS 347. Should the student desire global literacy credit (only 3 hours of such is permitted), both BHIS 347 (3 hours credit required) and BHIS 348 must be taken concurrently.
