COUN 602 - Techniques of Counseling


Students will develop an understanding of essential interviewing and counseling skills so that they will be able to develop a therapeutic relationship, establish appropriate counseling goals, design intervention strategies, evaluate outcomes, and successfully terminate the counselor-client relationship.

Prerequisite(s): Prerequisite: Admission to the Master of Science in Professional Counseling: Clinical and School or the Educational Specialist in Professional Counseling: Clinical and School program or permission of the director.
