BHIS 340 - Church History


This course surveys the storline of church history from the first century to the beginning of the Reformation, developments in liturgy, basic vocabulary, growth and division of Christianity, development of the New Testament canon, persecution and martydom, heresies and ecumenical councils, rise of the papacy, and significant figures (Constantine, Augustine, Aquinas, et al) and encourages interaction with primary and secondary sources.
