CHEM 324 - Biochemistry I


Basic concepts of the chemistry and intermediary metabolism of carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, nucleic acids, vitamins, and hormones are considered with special consideration given to biochemical energetics and molecular biochemistry.

Prerequisite(s): Prerequisite: CHEM 122  and CHEM 215  , or CHEM 249  with a grade of C or higher.

Credit Hours: 3
