Political Science Majors

The expected Program Learning Outcomes for this major are:

• Demonstrate an understanding of fundamental political processes, institutions, actors, behavior, and ideas; and familiarity with major theories, methods, issues, and concepts in Political Science.
• Students will:
  • demonstrate an understanding of academic integrity and produce work consistent with integrity standards.
  • demonstrate the ability to locate, evaluate, incorporate, and properly cite multiple information resources.
  • design original research to test arguments and hypotheses with qualitative and/or quantitative approaches.
  • develop an informed familiarity with multiple cultures.
  • write grammatically correct, logically cohesive, and factually accurate compositions.
